whulshootseed words

Mary and i went to snoqualimie falls with the boyz today…

As part of a recent upgrade, the park put english words with the corresponding works from the whulshootseed language, used by the native americans in the area. no, don’t ask me to spell the whulshootseed words; the whulshootseed characters use superscripted letters not found in the standard u.s. english alphabet. unfortunately, whulshootseed is dieing language; as of 2005, only one person spook the language.

In an artistic move, I took the pictures at a low  angle, putting the whulshootseed word further away.

more photos to come soon.

About bipolarsojourner

i have struggled with episodic depression for years. i then received a diagnosis of being bipolar, only to find out i didn’t. ends up my psychiatrist really meant to say that multiple bouts of depression are often best treated like bipolar. i had already started this blog as bipolar sojourner and didn't want to switch it over. i am documenting my journeys through my depression jungle.
