a tribute to my brother

a tribute to my brother
i have been watching the brain with david eagleman on pbs. i’m learning so much from it.
the last episode titled why do i need you? explored the near social requirement for individuals and and the human race as a whole. as usual the show came packed with lots of fascinating information.
note: if you get grossed out easily, you make not want to continue. you have been warned.
a turning point for me happened in my early teens. i don’t quite remember the particulars but i had some righteous reason to be anger at my dad. he yelled back at me with these simple words, “you can’t be angry at me, i’m your father!”
my friend has had a near life–long battle with anxiety. now her daughter, who is about 8, faces a continual struggle with anxiety. she was looking for some ideas so i passed along some that would hopefully be helpful to her and her daughter. i realize that i could also benefit from the “medicine” i gave her. my hope is it might help you, too.
